Hi, I'm Takeo, the owner of Wine Shop Terre. Thank you for visiting our shop.

You don't need to know anything difficult to enjoy wine. We believe that the most important thing is to want to enjoy wine and have a good time. Of course, the more knowledge you have, the more you will enjoy wine. The more you learn about wine, the deeper it goes, the more profound it becomes... However, we believe that wine should not be something you think about, but something you can enjoy casually and at any time of the day, right next to you when you are relaxing or having a good time with your family or friends. We believe that it should be a casual drink that can be enjoyed at any time.

It is with this in mind that we have started importing and selling wine in Japan. We hope that our wines will make your life more enjoyable.

We only buy wines that I myself have tasted and found to be delicious, and although everyone's taste buds are naturally different, we are confident that you will find a wine that you will love. We hope that we can help you to find your new favourite wine.

As we're just starting out, we don't have all the wines we'd like to stock from the outset, but we'll be expanding our range of wineries and labels as we go along, so stay tuned! In the meantime, we hope that you will support us by drinking and enjoying our wines.

Managing Director Akihide Takeo

Born in 1979 in Tokyo and living in Shonan.  After graduating from graduate school, he worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) before setting up his own wine import and sales shop. He enjoys triathlon and jazz guitar. His favourite pastimes are swimming in the sea in the morning and drinking wine in the sunshine with his family and friends. His favourite wine is Primitivo! But he’s not a strong drinker. Wine related qualifications: WSET Level 3.
