The wine is a bright lemon colour with a slight green tinge. Terra Alta, which means 'high land' in the local language, is surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 950 metres. With little rainfall and a wide temperature range, it is said to be geographically (40km away), climatically and soil-wise close to the world-famous vineyards of Priorat and Montsant, also in Catalonia. No. 7 is the first "white wine" that the winery has successfully matured under the sea. White wines need to be matured and managed at lower temperatures than red wines, so it was very difficult to adjust the timing of submerging and withdrawing the wine. The result is a wine full of ripe fruit flavours reminiscent of tropical fruits, but with a fresh acidity and minerality that is well balanced in the bottle.

Elegant, but with a mineral note coming from the earth and stone formations. Aromas of fresh peaches, pears, fennel and tropical fruits such as melon and pineapple. |
